FastComet Review 2026: Cloud Hosting with Global Data Centers
FastComet Review 2026: Cloud Hosting with 11 Global Data Centers
Our hands-on review of FastComet’s cloud hosting platform â featuring 12+ data center locations across 14 countries and SSD-only infrastructure. Is it the best value in cloud hosting?
Last verified: 13 September 2026
FastComet is a cloud-powered hosting provider that has built its reputation on two things most competitors get wrong: transparent pricing and global data center coverage. FastComet built its reputation on fixed renewal pricing, but that is no longer how the plans are sold: FastComet’s own pricing page now states that “the promotional price is for the first term only and renews at the regular rate”. Combined with 12+ data centre locations spanning 4 continents, they offer a compelling value proposition for website owners who need global reach without enterprise budgets.
Founded in 2013 in San Francisco, FastComet has grown steadily by focusing on customer satisfaction over aggressive marketing. We tested their FastCloud shared hosting and VPS plans for 90 days to determine whether their transparent approach translates to a genuine hosting advantage.
Quick Overview: FastComet at a Glance
FastComet Plans and Pricing
| Plan | Type | Sites | Storage | Price/mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FastCloud | Shared Cloud | 1 Website | 15 GB SSD | $2.95 |
| FastCloud Plus | Shared Cloud | Unlimited | 25 GB SSD | $4.45 |
| FastCloud Extra | Shared Cloud | Unlimited | 35 GB SSD | $5.95 |
| Cloud VPS 1 | Cloud VPS | Unlimited | 50 GB SSD | $59.95 |
| Cloud VPS 2 | Cloud VPS | Unlimited | 80 GB SSD | $79.95 |
| DS 1 | Dedicated | Unlimited | 160 GB SSD | $139 |
Important correction, verified 13 September 2026: FastComet no longer holds your rate at renewal. Checked on fastcomet.com today, the shared plans are Starter “.99/mo renewing at $9.95/mo, Essential “.99 renewing at “2.95, Plus $3.99 renewing at “7.95, and Extra $5.49 renewing at “4.95 — roughly a 4-5x step-up. Their pricing page states plainly that the promotional price applies to the first term only. If a locked renewal rate is what you came for, InterServer’s Price Lock is now the one that actually does it.
Key Features We Tested
Global Data Center Network
FastComet operates 12+ data centres across the US (Dallas, Newark), Europe (London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam), Asia (Tokyo, Singapore, Mumbai), and Australia (Sydney). This is exceptional coverage for a mid-size hosting provider. During account setup, you choose your preferred data center location, and we found that selecting a server geographically close to your target audience made a measurable difference in TTFB and overall page load times.
Server Performance
Testing from the Frankfurt data center, our WordPress site delivered average page loads of 312ms with a TTFB of 108ms for European visitors. From the Dallas data center, US visitors saw 278ms average loads. FastComet uses AMD EPYC processors, DDR4 ECC RAM, and SSD storage across all plans. Their cloud infrastructure provides resource isolation that prevents the “noisy neighbor” problems common on traditional shared hosting.
cPanel and Management Tools
FastComet includes full cPanel access on all shared plans â a notable advantage as some competitors have moved to proprietary panels to avoid cPanel licensing costs. The familiar interface means zero learning curve for anyone who has used cPanel before. They also include Softaculous for one-click app installation, free DNS management, and a built-in file manager.
Backup and Security
All plans include free daily backups stored off-server, with 7-day retention on shared plans and longer retention on VPS and dedicated plans. One-click restore is available through cPanel. Security features include free SSL via Let’s Encrypt, Web Application Firewall (WAF), real-time malware scanning, and brute force protection. The BitNinja security suite is included at no extra cost on FastCloud Extra and VPS plans.

Who Should Use FastComet?
FastComet is ideal for website owners who are tired of bait-and-switch pricing and want long-term cost predictability. If you have audiences in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, or regions underserved by major US/EU-focused hosts, FastComet’s 12+ data centre locations provide a significant latency advantage.
Small business owners, bloggers, and freelancers who want cPanel-based hosting with strong support, free backups, and transparent pricing will find FastComet an excellent choice. Their global data-centre spread and free daily backups are the real reasons to consider them; the renewal rate is no longer one of them.
Global Cloud Hosting at Fixed Prices
FastComet â 12+ data centres, free daily backups, and the same low price when you renew. No surprises, ever.
Visit FastComet →Final Verdict
FastComet stands out in a crowded market through honest pricing and global infrastructure. They no longer stand apart on renewal pricing — that changed in 2026 — so judge them on infrastructure and support instead. Combined with 12+ data centre locations, solid performance, cPanel access, and free daily backups, FastComet delivers exceptional value for the price. They may not have the marketing budget of a Bluehost or Hostinger, but what they offer is consistently good hosting at a price that does not change â and that earns our recommendation.
